Pentecost 4 Life is a digital-first ministry making serious biblical scholarship accessible to everyday Christians — rooted in the Word, empowered by the Spirit, and committed to community.
Who we are
A ministry for the whole person
The Pentecost for Life Foundation is the legal and organizational home for this ministry. Pentecost 4 Life is the public-facing platform you're on right now, and the Pentecost for Life Institute is the Foundation's educational arm.
Together, the Foundation equips Christian leaders and other followers of Jesus Christ for biblical literacy, spiritual formation, public witness, and intergenerational collaboration — using radio, social media, YouTube, and e-learning to communicate the Word of God and work toward the Beloved Community in the world.

The Bennetts
Dr. Harold V. Bennett
Founder & Lead Teacher
Dr. Harold V. Bennett earned a Doctor of Ministry from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Philosophy in Hebrew Bible and Ethics from Vanderbilt University. He and his wife, Dr. Valerie Bennett, founded the Pentecost for Life Foundation.
He has written books, commentaries, and articles on the Hebrew Bible, Old Testament studies, and Ethics, including a chapter in T&T Clark's Companion to African American Theology and a piece in the Journal of the Interdenominational Theological Center. He has been a guest commentator on Religion and Social Ethics for NPR and Atlanta radio stations, served as a Scholar in Residence at the Institute for the Global Study of Antisemitism and Policy at St. John's College, University of Oxford, and belongs to the Catholic-Evangelical Dialogue of the United States, the Muslim-Christian Dialogue of America, the Society for Biblical Literature, and the Society for Pentecostal Studies. He has presented papers and led discussions in Amsterdam, Rome, Vienna, Oxford, and Kumasi, Ghana.
Dr. Bennett holds the position of Elder in the Church of God in Christ, Incorporated, serves as first administrative assistant at his local church, and acts as Ecumenical Officer for the South-Central Georgia Jurisdiction in Atlanta. He was named the R.I.C.E. Awards' 2025 Educator of the Year and was inducted into the Collegium of Scholars and Theologians at Morehouse College in 2026. He is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.
Dr. Valerie P. Bennett
Co-Founder & Education Director
Dr. Valerie P. Bennett earned a Doctor of Education in Higher Educational Leadership from Clark Atlanta University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She and her husband, Dr. Harold Bennett, started the Pentecost for Life Foundation together. She also founded STEM Compass, Inc., a nonprofit connecting students, teachers, and communities to STEM learning.
Her writing spans books, chapters, research articles, conference papers, and practical publications on artificial intelligence in education, computer science careers, adaptive learning, math education, geoscience, and culturally responsive STEM teaching — including "Unblock Me: An Educational Model to Increase the Computer Science Workforce" (2024 RESPECT Conference) and AI-Powered Pedagogy: A Critical and Creative Guide for K–12 Teachers (Kendall Hunt). She co-writes "From Chalkboards to AI," a monthly blog for the National Science Teaching Association.
Dr. Bennett is a Smithsonian Institute Science Faculty Mentor and an HBCU White House Initiative Scholar. She has led talks and professional development for Google, the National Science Teaching Association, the Atlanta University Center Data Science Initiative, AIG, Synchrony, and universities and schools worldwide, with presentations in Iceland, the Netherlands, Ecuador, and Malaysia, and has prepared educators during ocean and geoscience research expeditions. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Read her full story →
