How the Institute equips leaders
Biblical Literacy
The Institute seeks to equip people to understand the Bible and interpret it responsibly by focusing on issues of translation and hermeneutics — helping believers move from reading Scripture to discerning how Scripture shapes faithful leadership, public witness, and daily life.
Spiritual & Theological Formation
The Institute helps people learn and understand the core doctrines — the main teachings of the Christian faith — in a way that is thoughtful, accessible, and welcoming, whether you are new to Christianity or wanting to grow in your faith.
Public Witness
The Institute aims to offer practical models that help leaders, volunteers, churches, and other groups take part in projects that support vulnerable and marginalized people — including programs that use new technologies, like artificial intelligence, in ways that respect human dignity and promote justice and mercy.
Intergenerational Collaboration
The Institute shares Bible-based ideas and models to help communities of all ages work together — supporting young leaders, valuing the wisdom of experienced leaders, and welcoming everyone to join in social justice work.
How we deliver it
Four tools
Faithfulness to the Holy Spirit is a call to action. The Pentecost for Life Institute uses four tools to equip leaders and followers of Jesus Christ to pursue holiness, justice, compassion, and professionalism in response to the call of the Spirit.
Leadership Labs
Three-hour workshops and classes, some available online, focused on biblical literacy, core Christian doctrines, public witness, and cross-generational leadership — with time for learning, reflection, practical application, and connecting with others.
Print Ministry
Formation materials, reflection tools, educational materials, and theological resources for ministers and laypeople — helping us learn, remember important lessons, and apply instruction in the village.
Podcasts
The Spirit & the Village is a weekly 30-minute podcast exploring how the Holy Spirit helps us navigate life, culture, and community — covering biblical literacy, Christian doctrine, social justice, and connecting different generations.
